Thanks go to the brave photographer, Rob Sullivan, for daring to be close enough to us at the turn-around to catch our facial expressions. Luckily everyone had good enough control over their twitchy TT bikes to not collide with him!
Anne-Marie Carter-McAuslan comments: Cool temperatures did not deter 22 riders for the third OBC 40 km time trial of the season. A variable WSW wind with skies, a temperatures in the 12 to 19 C range. All riders finished including Jacques Morvan who flatted at 100 meters from the finish but managed to do a Froome finish running to set a reasonable time. Donald MacDonald, Mark Sherboneau, Gabriel Song, Mark LeBlanc attempting the course for the first time. Again, despite the wind and cool conditions 2 course bests, and 1 season best time on the day. I have used Celia McInnis' database to make these conclusions.
The next 15km time trial will be on the Clayton Road course August 8th, 2017 with sign in at 6:00pm at Union Hall and the watch starting about 630 pm.
The next 40km time trial on the Perth road course will be held on September 3rd, 2017 with sign in starting at 7:45am. Volunteers needed for this TT. Please respond to this email.
